"Psyche is about how each person chooses to use their past to influence their future. Most people I know have experienced difficult, painful or tragic moments in their past.  These can be used as reasons not to progress - the excuses we create for living a small life. Alternatively we can claim them as emotional "compost" -  the incidents which gave us the impetus to expand even more. One's future is therefore not determined by the past, but rather the impact of the past is determined by your choice of how to perceive it in the present!"
